actor turned politician or malama tonker has quitter from the Congress party citing petty in house politics or mullah who contested at the Mumbai North constituency for the Congress and the recently held assembly elections also claimed that she was surprised after people who did a shoddy job in handling Mumbai Congress were actually being rewarded with new positions well let's go across and we're joined by a Congress leader a Sanjay Jha on the phone line with us well let the Congress supporter rather Sanjay uh what do you have to say on this Urmila Matondkar she joined the party five months ago fought on a ticket for the Mumbai north constituency put up a rather feisty fight I have to say and now she says it's because of these petty politics and getting no support from within the party that she's resigning oh quit I totally agree with you I thought she fought a brilliant campaign for somebody who was very new to politics the way she handled the media campaign relentlessly and you know so I was very convinced that she is a long term a very strong asset for the party in bar Astra and then nationally because she is a very well-known public figure huh between the successful Bollywood actor you know the fact that you know I haven't spoken to her or I don't know the exact here's the first statement but if she in the hinted that there was in fighting within the barrister unit of the Congress well that's a message to earth you should speak regarding actions cut it up and around six seven each from now and two goons oatmeal or it's definitely not a positive message I need to be honest about it and it is disappointing because end of day she was gathering a lot of support and so else we do have problems I guess it happens when you lose an election but my you know I'm also disappointed because you know there are times you won't touch me you that there are squabbles that there are differences but this is also a time but a lot of photos of the caucus but you need to be strong and resilient it's a phase you know this is not got a lasting provenance and said transitory phase and it's also important for people to hang in the Congress in Maharashtra and that's been out there for quite a while in Mumbai you know between a million the hora he also stepped down there Sanjay Nirupam and it's no secret that there have been issues between both of them and now o Muhammad on her stepping down over this politics within the party which is already in such a weakened position when gargy I agree with you I live here in Bombay and some of us are trying very fashion Utley to work on a strategy and adapted to do well in Mumbai in Maharashtra so any setback of this kind she's not just the Fatherhood actor she's the very popular public speaker and I repeat and I totally agree with you she possibly sorry and her spirited campaign during the Lok Sabha despite all the headwinds and therefore the course of this game is definitely of I would say a massive disappointment I don't know what the real reasons are but if there is the eternal you know public's facts without going on between some female because there's a body well that is the message to them that we need to really cop down into space and get that sorting out of issues privately instead of you know taking everything out of the into space and conducting offices with a lot of political maturity we are talking about the Indian National Congress party hundred-odd he goes
