Dolley Madison lobbies to keep Washington, D.C. the capital of the United States after the British burned the city down during the War of 1812.

About Drunk History:
Based on the popular web series, Drunk History is the liquored-up narration of our nation’s history. Host Derek Waters, along with an ever-changing cast of actors and comedians, travels across the country to present the rich tales that every city in this land has to offer. Booze helps bring out the truth. It’s just that sometimes the truth is a little incoherent.

So long story short: Everyone was like: Nah I aint gonna leave I am no pussy. leaves like a pussy as soon as the British arrive.

Seriously, the War of 1812 was just an embaressment for the US except for the battle of new Orleans. And technically that Battle happened after the Peace was signed in Europe. Seriously makes one wonder what the British might have done with the US if they wouldnt have had their hands full with good old Napoleon in Europe.

Oh imagine that they are unintentily push the 2nd amendement because thats the biggest why the BRITISH wanted us to surrender our guns before we fought for independence. So i will go ahead say that we need to keep guns away from people who shouldnt be near them which we have some laws in place like that but we should never fully get rid of the 2nd A.

Why are there people complaining about the inaccuracies in a tv show called DRUNK HISTORY on a COMEDY channel, where they get people drunk and ask them to retell a historical piece in their drunken stupor for our ENTERTAINMENT ??? This isn’t the history channel, where the purpose is to educate.

5:11 Abigail Adams and Martha Washington's ghosts may haunt you now.
In reality, Abigail Adams is now finally starting to be considered as a f"ounding father". She was the closest and most trusted advisor to John Adams. This is firmly historically documented in their extensive correspondence. Dolley was definitely ahead of her time, but don't overlook the woman far superior in intellect than most who was able to really be the first female president of the US through her husband's ear.
